When you say "gasket glue," could that mean something like Indian Head shellac? I would sure like to know what this stuff is that you recommend, as I've had trouble with leaks from various sources on engines, transmissions, etc., over the years. Some people recommend using just the gasket with no sealant, and others recommend using gaskets with a thin coating of grease. I have a hard time with using a bare gasket and even one with a coating of grease.
