I know that when you are re-packing wheel bearings that all the manuals say to replace the grease seals at the same time.
When easily obtainable (like small trailers), sure, I do it.

When they are not easy to find or you don't have time to look--if you are careful not to damage the originals, does anybody else clean everything, re-pack and gently push everything back into place ?
