I keep a 2A10BC ( the kind you see in a commercial establishment).
Has enough juice to put out a small,roadside brush fire as well as anything petroleum based on the truck, including its load.
Trick with an engine compartment fire is to pop the hood, but not open it fully, (keep oxygen supply to fire at minimum), and put stream between the fender and the hood "wedge". Take advantage of the stop latch for more access on a standard hood.
Once fire "knocked down" open hood and spot extinguish the hot spots.
