They never look past the plug. There is a significant environmental impact. Dams really impact salmon runs and really change a river’s ecology. Coal fired isn’t great. Gas fired is better but still not there. Wind power is “clean” but it has a major impact. Solar takes up vast amount of space and impacts wildlife. Nuclear is not the best just ask Japan.
Everything has a cost just what makes the most sense. There is a lot going on behind that plug that most people are clueless or are deliberately blind to.
