I bought a used Grass Hopper with the Kubota diesel. Just used it to cut the dead grass for the first outing of the season. It is a joy. Consider a good used one. Parts support has been great.
Have no experience with the brands you are talking about but Grasshoppers are pretty common in parts of the US. Try eBay.
