I agree with Kevin, and the others that posted.

Having a free and open forum with no restrictions allows us to have the best possible information exchange.

If you want to say something without telling people who you are that is OK. But it does not promote the feelings we are trying to convey in this hobby to make mean statements without your E-mail listed, making you unaccountable.

Because he mostly sells flat fender stuff, and I only deal in PG parts I will most likely never buy from Doug. But if he had what I wanted, and the price was what I was willing to pay I would buy without hesitation.

I also am a bargain hunter in the extreme, I like to pay as little as possible for everything. I have noticed that most people here are the same.

Yet when I sell something I try to get a fair market value for it, as not everyone is a bargain hunter willing to drive 5 hours to get a bumper for $20, they would rather buy it from me for $150 and drive nowhere.

I buy things on E-bay all the time, and I buy service manuals, parts books, and ads for $5, $10, $20, while many sell for three times that.

But I just bought a couple of books from a seller who was asking a price that was much closer to market value, but he had stuff I could not find, so I bought from him.

As has been said many times before, if you do not like the prices, don't buy. If a truck is listed for sale, and is misrepresented, feel free to correct the seller publicly. But I feel this would require a gross misrepresentation before it would be something said on the forum.

An example would be a guy selling a 65 WM300 with a F-1 Ford bed, and an inline six out of a CCKW, who was claiming it is an all original WDX. Then you can complain!

Otherwise don't bad mouth people just because your idea of a great price or condition doesn't agree with the sellers. I have been bad mouthed when I listed trucks for friends in the past, and yet the folks that bought the trucks seemed happy.

Anyway, thanks to Joe Cimoch (yes that is how you spell it!:-) for all he does for us and this hobby!

Eric
