Hey Guys,
I took a break from my PW to rebuild the motor in my winter driver, a 1974 Chevy Impala. Its a 350. I had it machined and I installed all new parts. I have checked all rod and main bearings with plasti-gauge and everything is nice and snug.
My question concerns oil pressure. Using a 450 RPM drill, I primed the motor and measure about 20 PSI. Is this what I should expect. At 900 RPM, will I have 40 PSI?? Will the fact that the motor is actually running increase the pressure also??
I want to avoid trouble by checking everything now so I dont put it in and have an oil pressure problem. I started with a low oil pressure problem and I want to make sure its fixed.
Thanks and have a great holiday.
