I was dreaming of a PW hauler ever since I saw a Mid 50's GMC Rollback flatbed at a N.J. car show 21/2 years ago.
So, I took a drive to see this Mack that was on ebay(thanks to a forum post). The owner took it off ebay 2 days before the auction was over and sold it to the highest bidder even though it went past his reserve price. Sold for $7100.00
It is a sweet truck and it is the worst of his towing/rigging collection. Very nice guy.
He says if the Ohio buyer does not come up with the funds, he will offer it to me.
W500 Gary, if I succumb to weakness, can I rent out some of your land to store it. It has a winch that will move that rock!!!
Two items on my mind are.
How to make the flat bed into a rollback towtruck? Or fabricate a ramp.
And I think it is pretty funning to have a big truck with a max speed of 50MPH hauling a smaller truck with a max speed of 45MPH.
It is a great combo, but you don't get to the rally any faster.
