it is probably the overdrive used with a dana 18 transfer case, it requires removing a 4-6 bolt cover on the backside of the t-case,it then bolts right up,its a nice unit in that it doesnt require any driveline mod.s,and it is useable in any gear. it works as a gear splitter, rather than a true overdrive.it was used on older CJ jeeps,and the Willy's all-steel wagons and pickups,and also on Scout model 80's and poss. some early Scout 800's as well.it does make for a confusing array of sticks coming out of the floor,however,as there is 1 stick for the 3 or 4 spd tranny,2 sticks for the dana 18, and finally, another stick for the overdrive.
