The Jeep has 200 miles on a rebuilt engine, transmission and transfer case, new non-directional tires. Two new 12 volt batteries, 24 volt system still used, and working good.
Extremely rare; 4,155 produced, around 200 of them left in existence. Used in combat during the Korean, and the Vietnam War, produced from 1953 till 1963. Mostly used to transport wounded soldiers from Huey choppers to the MASH units. The Jeep has provisions for three patients on litters, Jeep comes with the 3 litters, canvas seats in good condition, top canvas ok, sides and back canvas roll up and tie in place.
Passenger seat can face forward, or flipped around to face backwards to care for the patients. Jerry can, spare tire and axe are next to the passenger. This Jeep is a USMC so it has heavy duty "D" rings on the side rear bumper, the Army model has the rings in the bumperettes. All the markings on Jeep are vinyl and can be removed and replaced simply. All control arms and steering parts have been replaced. Jeep has just been serviced with new oil/oil filter and tune up parts and runs like a dream. All new brakes, master cylinder, brake cylinders and brakes lines. A couple of small dents on hood, but no rust anywhere. Jeep's top speed is 55 mph, gross weight is 3,763 net weight is 2,963. Jeep is designed with heavier suspension than a regular Jeep because of the extra weight with patients and it is 20 inches longer than a regular Jeep.
Willys MD 4 cylinder 134 cid 68 hp engine, 3 speed trans, 2 speed transfer case. Wheel base 101 inch, length 155 inch, width 60.5, height 80 inch. Gas tanks holds 13 gals for a 300 mile range. Jeep has a sound system with a CD player with a bunch of CDs with patriotic songs. Extra front and back safety and brake lights are on Jeep, but can be removed easily.
