It's more than just the captivated nuts welded on. They actually intended to cab about a 1/2" in and the nuts are on the INSIDE of the cab beyond that. Hard to believe they changed the die set for that detail. Then again, they did change the Guage layout to all round holes on the last series of half tons, then went back for the civilian stuff. I didn't take any good pics of it on mine and this is the best I could find.
