Well it was because it sure weighed a lot less then 3/16" steel! I made all the skid plates for it out of 3/16" steel & just put a winch on the front under the nose. I made Poly material side covers to protect my hoses and hydraulic system. Made a skid plate to enclose the winch in with from damage. You can jack the tractor up with them there strong enough to hole. Been having fun doing extra stuff even a boom that goes on my Pallet Forks to lift stuff up to 17 ft from the nose or at the tips of the forks up to 2,000 lbs. 4500 lb roll back on th bucket and 3900 lbs lift at the hinge of the bucket. It goes 9 ft up and the winch can go up to pulleys to pull engines like a PWs A Frame would. The Boom can lift 20 ft in the air if needed so ya been having a blast with the tractor. If I want to I can use a Bosman Chair to sit in and with my remote control raise my self up and down to do stuff or put things up on a roof ect. Fun part is it is great for plowing our snow and I really enjoy doing that now for my entertainment during the winter!!
