You could use GL5 if you know that the fiber
Thrust washers behind the side gears were never replaced with the upgraded bronze washers.
Most Gov. rebuilds used the OEM fiber washer
But bronze could have been used also?

The proper lube is not hard to find.
Most all farm/fleet stores will have it.
