I'm with you. We are about 60 miles south of the Canadian border. Some winters are more fun than others. :)
When we first moved here winters were stronger. The county and state used sand on the roads. The worst thing that could happen was maybe a rock slipped through the screen and you got a chip or a crack in the windshield. The last 10 or so years they have been using chemicals on the roads. No more rock chips, but it's destroying vehicles. Your hubs might be suffering from infiltration of chemicals.
The website offers Dynatrac hubs with their kits, at about $400 upgrade from Warn. From everything I have seen of their products, I would go with their hubs if I was ordering the kit or if I needed to replace my Warns.
