small engines

I am looking for an engine to replace the one on my log splitter. Does anyone have any experience with Predator engines, sold by Harbor Freight? They claim they are comparable to an equal size Honda engine, but are half the cost. Normally I shy away from HF, but I see a lot of good reviews.
