I thought all speedometers were pretty much the same ratio, 1000 revolutions per mile and adjustments for accuracy were done by the drive gears at the transmission end. I have been dialing in mechanical speedometers by changing the gears or using ratio adapters for over 40 years. I see Tim is changing speedometers in an effort to correct the accuracy. I have never heard of this before which has me wondering if the speedometer heads are all pretty much the same or are there different ratios.
Of course swapping a unit because it is faulty makes sense, but changing speedometers to get different ratios is a new one on me.
