I'm 6'5" so I know what you mean. I didn't extend the cab but took out the stock base and used different seats to lower it down for headroom. If you want a stock looking setup I'd suggest redoing the seats with foam and cut some out and use a different spring set up. Matt Tisdale makes parts for crew cab conversions too.
