So after driving my TW for 18 years on a factory style recore it's time for another.
My truck has a 36o in it and had the stock style V8 core with stock fan shroud and upper air deflector. Yes it would get hot when stuck in traffic.
I sourced a modern 3 core aluminum one that fits a 1955-59 chev truck. The core is identical in size. hose bibs the same also. The only difference is the mounting flange, drain location(grill side) and overflow nipple. (Pass side) $200 bucks on Amazon through Prime cooling PN# X001H3DLV5.
Works nice and it's 95 today. After cutting off the flange and some welding/engineering it all looks good. I believe these fit the late 50's truck and TW up to 66. Hope this may help somebody. Ray in oregon
