rancho shocks, anyone running them?

I popped mine out to paint- I swear they started rusting right out of the box. Once out I find that one of the gas shocks no longer has gas in it. This shock has less than 8000 miles on it. I see a replacement is about 116 bucks.
I suspect this is the last set I will buy but am interested in what others use on a longer travel suspension.
I may end up with Bilsteen or something else but for the short term I will just replace the shock I see how long before another one fails.
tempted to ship the one that failed back to Rancho.
