My new power wagon!

I am now the proud owner of a 1946 power wagon! I used your decoder to determine. It is about 90% complete but kinda rough. Sitting in a barn for 40 years. It has correct t137 engine, it is stuck and I am working gingerly to pull the head to judge the damage. The original paint was forest green over black. But here’s the weird part! Over the original paint it has army green and markings! Did the army acquire some of these?
