I asked for some ideas a while back with some brake bleeding issues. I had a friend help me out and assured me he had bled the master. I guess he didn't realize that ANY air going through the line is not right. He thought as long as it pumped fluid it was fine. It was an odd situation though as when I pulled it back off and bench bled it, I couldn't do it. Did about 100 cycles and it kept having air in it. About half way back on the return it would honk like a goose. It was pulling air in. Tore it all down and the bore and cups were fine. What was wrong was the check valve was in backwards. I was skeptical on how it would cause what I have but it bench bled quickly upon reassembly. the brakes then bled normal as well.
