The Poly was only built until 1966. In '67 the 'LA318' started. If it didn't have scalloped heads it wasn't a Poly. The Poly was called wide block because the Poly block IS wide and sometimes confused with a big block. Why wideblock? Maybe they couldn't pronounce Polyspherical?? = )
