Hi folks,
I own a 1952 M-37 that has a motor that died long ago. I have owned this truck for 4 years and have not, until now been able to work on it like I needed to (grad school and jobs robbed me of my time). The truck is in great shape, other than the motor (it was over-revved). I am a bit better off than I wa before and I want to get my truck running. I want my stock transmission, as I have the PTO winch, but I would like a re-power...360, or 318 or ..well, I would concider anything.
I am wanting to know from those of you who have tried this. What did you guys do? Is Ray's kit the only solution? Has anyone ever installed a v-8 without a kit? I would love to have a cummins 4bt, but financially I cannot do that at this point in my career.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
John J
