The seal was about 11/16ths to long so I cut a section out and pinned it with a large paper clip. The paper clip has to be cut at an angle to cut through the rubber material. I then applied silicone seal, taped it, and set it in the vent channel to keep it aligned as it dries. It's slightly longer to account for shrinkage over time. After it dries, it'll be ready to seal in.
