"On a sunny afternoon this week, days before Memorial Day, there were hundreds of volunteers - 650 people, according to organizers -- planting 37,628 flags from the top of a small hill down to the sidewalks.

Each of them represent a fallen service member from Massachusetts, who's been lost in military service since the beginning of the Revolution, until last month, April of 2018."
