Braden MU-2 Winch

I just finished overhauling a worn out MU-2 winch. It is a full day for sure, (for me anyway). I see why the previous owner just continued to use it after it was worn out. All parts are available.

Thank goodness for the War Department's manual on step by step tear down and reassembly.

One question: I used all new seals and bushings. I am considering filling it half full with chassis grease rather than 80 weight gear oil. Any thoughts on this plan?
