Does your transmission cover have round ring worn marks around the shifter tower? If so you need to raise the cab till you get 1/4 to 3/8 above the transmission cover. A Neoprene Steel Floor Squeegee replacement rubber blade works good to raise it. This could be why your getting the transmission noise.
