Carbide or satellite tipped saws have been in common use in sawmills for a long time now , worldwide I believe , and being all machine done , would imagine a blade that size wouldn’t cost a Kings ransom., especially if you were on good terms with a mill saw doctor ...... But even those tips , don’t like stones , or sudden shocks ., they chip and break too , but last a long time between sharpenings , in clean wood .
