You will have to lift quite high to clear the steering column. You will need to remove the steering wheel to make it easier.

My opinion it would be easier to remove the steering box and column as a unit first. Then remove the cab. If I remember correctly I pulled the starter, pulled the steering wheel, jack the front of the truck up a little then snaked the column and box out either above or below the axle.
