Took the carryall on a longer trip today, Anacortes to Port Townsend 45min to an hour each way. The machine starts out fine in the morning, but it just gets louder and louder as everything warms up. By the time we got home it was sounding horrible.

But it only sounds bad in 4th gear. So I'm thinking, and I did a lot of this on the way home, it could be something with the input shaft & counter shaft, Now that the countershaft is unloaded.

These things you hear when the louder noises are removed.

Sigh..
