Ray, not sure what you're talking about regarding fire apparatus but you & I have certainly never had a conversation about fire apparatus & I do not manufacture any of it...I throw I think out.
The reason these cost so much is because they were casting 15. The cast iron is worth like $5...it's all labor.
The past runs of these that I had done, I did machine the backs & drill them because I had my own machine shop & I had a truck with a pillow block to use to lay out the holes. I was very clear when I offered to do this favor for you guys for zero profit...in fact I actually lost money on these with shipping.
I'm dissapointed you're not happy with it...lord knows I wasn't twisting anyone's arm to go out & have these done for you.
