I am planning on a flatbed for a '49 FF. Fleming Metals produces rails with punched out stake pockets in 7 gauge or 10 gauge steel by 5 5/8 and will ship to a freight yard on the mainland. Will deck it with 7/8- 1" rough sawn fir. I was going to use the 10 gauge but now am wondering if it will be too light. Not doing any heavy hauling, just errands and cordwood. Any suggestions- 7 ga or 10ga
