Inner axle bushing question (again)

Has anyone noticed that the drivers side inner axle bronze bushing drives in and seats further into the axle housing than the passenger side causing the inner axle shaft to rub the housing once it is inserted into the axle tube? I have housings in the yard from a 52 and a 53 that do the same. All (Tracta) axles and bushings are the same sizes. Anyone have any thoughts as to why this is happening?
