I agree honing will produce grit, but reaming oilite is also potentially problematic, in that it tends to smear the pores of the oilte shut, not allowing them to weep oil like they are supposed to. If using a reamer, it needs to be very sharp to avoid this smearing. Or so I've read. I've reamed a couple of oilite bushings but not an expert. Just know what I've read.
