I use an app called DigiHud Pro. It reads about the same as the speedo in the truck. I can't recall what gears you have, but if you are running 5.83 the engine is probably screaming at 50. Neither the engines or drivelines are balanced when they built our trucks. We balanced my engine before putting it back together. The new pistons were off by less than 5 grams each. It does run smoother now, but on a stock truck with 5.83 it's most happy around 30-35 MPH. It will go faster of course, but in my opinion every vehicle has a speed where it's "happy". Our 88 F-250 with 4.10 gears and a stock 7.3 likes it about 1800 RPM giving me 60 MPH.
