30K would be the first drop in the bucket if you have someone do all the work. You are looking at $100 an hour for people who know what they are doing to fix it. There are 100s of hours of work plus parts. Even at $50 an hour it’s a lot of money. In my area you can’t find anyone who would charge less that a $100 an hour unless it is a body shop that is doing insurance work. The insurance companies really hold back/control their prices. If you ask them to do non insurance work the price really goes up.
Spend your time finding a carryall that is in good shape or possibly one that has been already done. The extra purchase cost will be a lot less than what you will spend fixing a beat up one.
