d800 dumptruck

Gentlemen and ladies if there are any here. Greetings. I am the proud owner of a 1976 d800 dumptruck that has spent it's life as a snow plow. It still runs and moves but it has some issues that require attention . Hoping some of you can point me in the right direction. The steering box has a fair amount of play in it. Looking for tips on rebuild if possible. The vacuum operated wipers are dead is there an electric upgrade? And the trans ( 5sp) seems to be making wierd noise at certain speeds believe it is nv something can't remember the # but will get it. Also anyone know anything about the process on it. Seems like it may be worn.
