Jim, read part of your blog. Reminds me of when I bought mine. I had always wanted a power wagon too since the 70's when I had a 1940 Plymouth PU for awhile. I think I got mine just before the prices took off. I told my wife that "this time" I was just going to get it running and drive-able One thing leads to another? I think getting wives to agree to the initial purchase is much easier than explaining the future restoration costs. I tell her it just like the major kitchen remodel, unforeseen costs happen. It's also more fun to buy chunks of donor vehicles than just the parts you need. Then you can accumulate a collection of parts you can sell later. Just like the parts I have in storage for my 1956 Chevy that I recently rediscovered and didn't know I had.
