I read that before starting all this nonsense. And you know what? It DOESN"T tell you : "Pull the water pump first or else the end of the pump shaft messes up your brand new radiator"!
When I was starting to install it last night. Err, early this morning. I hear this "crinkkzz" as the pump shaft zoinks across my shiny new fins.
Luckily there is no inside tube in the center to break so I straightened them out as good as I could with my fingernails. Then I shot some black paint on it to hide my disgrace.
Uggh!
The issue was pulling the radiator through that last bit just before the neck pops through the hole in the cowling. I've broken so much stuff I was being really careful in fear of breaking this.
Careful didn't cut it. I ended up using a block and tackle around the filler neck strung out the garage's back door to the staircase railing. That and some prying and it finally popped in. BANG!
What a deal..
