I have seen one Power-Wagon with a Stromberg carb. Do not know if it was original to the truck or not.
I have also seen one carburetor service bulletin titled: Stromberg BXV-3 Carburetor. Sub titled: 1952 Dodge Truck Model B-3-PW Power Wagon. The bulletin was two pages, black and white, and was dated 10-52. It also wore the bulletin code: 10C-815.
No Strombergs appear in any Power-Wagon parts lists. The BXV-3 may have been an approved replacement for the standard E7S1 "square top with integral governor" that was in use from 1947 through 1953 (and later thru 1960 if and when a truck was equipped with the belt driven King Seeley governor), or some may have been installed on a temporary trial basis during 1952 before the Carter E7T1 was newly chosen as the standard carb for the Power-Wagon.
In any case, the Stromberg BXV-3 would require a separate sandwich style governor bolted between it and the manifold like that required with the Carter E7T1.
I do not know what the differences are between the BXV-3 listed in the above mentioned literature and the BXVD-3 listed in the auction - if any.
