I drove a 1964 W200 crewcab for years with the same engine, transmission, and rear axle. The only difference was that I had the 3500 lb. Spicer 44 front axle instead of the 3000 lb. because of it being a crewcab. I even had the weight of the original Braden winch up front also. I could easily drive 70 mph all day on old 17.5 firestone traction tires while carrying a load. I did not find the truck to be wimpy. Not a WDX, but not wimpy.
