Hi Jim,
Heres my tricks:
1) Buy a coil of 3/8 shrink tube and shrink it over the full length of the outer sleeve. This will keep water from entering the cable.
2) Remove the inner core from the outer sleeve. Hose clamp a small diameter hose to one end of the outer sleeve, and hose clamp a grease fitting to the other end of the hose. Pump grease thru the entire outer sleeve.
