Asbestos as used in automotive gaskets has already been addressed by the Government. There are some OSHA reg.'s that cover the use of asbestos in automotive parts. Because the risk of exposure is lower from gaskets than it is from brake and clutch parts, gaskets have a lower priorty than brake and clutch parts. What this means is that for now the manufactures can still use asbestos in gaskets. There is more to it also, but this basically is it. Robert
