The second figure in this article has a callout for the bypass port in the master cylinder. If my memory is correct, I have had brakes locked up when that tiny port got plugged by a bit of grit or rust:

But - I think that opening a bleeder valve would have released the pressure if that were your problem in this case (?). Same with a partially blocked hose/line.
Is it possible that 1. Brakes are just adjusted a little too tight. And 2. Still need to bleed a little more air out. ?
