broken spokes

I just discovered these two cracks (one with the valve stem and one at 12:00) These wheels have been on my truck since I bought it new in '06. I have never hit anything or even have a load heavier than my two yellow labs or a few boxes of tire chains and tow chains for winter weight. I have no idea how long they have been there. We made a 1000 mile round trip into BC in July. I wonder if they were there then? At any rate, I didn't really want to have to buy new wheels, but now I know about the cracks....oh well, the chrome is starting to pit anyway....
