I brought up the torque point because with stock axles and lockers the potential torque on the axle shaft doubles. If you idle through trails and pull the winch cable pretty quickly you will be fine. If you get hung up and you back up and hit harder and repeat this as necassary to get through I would avoid the locker. There is a reason OEMs only offer true lockers in a handful of vehicles - Warrenty.
