My brother - the short person in the pic - is putting the truck back to work after it sat for awhile. He always called it the "heavy truck."
Same family truck I posted photos of earlier. Maybe wrote this earlier, but I remember the day my dad sold his 2wd '50s International pickup and came home with this truck. Had a cracked/repaired frame, burnt valve, and a cracked water jacket in the block when he got it. Fixed the valve and used some block sealer. We called it a power wagon, Only real breakdown I recall was a broken rear axle hauling poles in Montana. I can't imagine a truck working harder - only thing that saved it was that my dad had no interest in modifying or welding on it like a lot that you see that have been ruined by farmers, or farm kids dreaming of 1980s monster trucks.
