Floor shape is different, the 1/2 ton sits on top of a flat chassis and floor is more or less flat where the PW and 3/4 are stepped down 6" with a raised cross-member for the transfer and a high positioned transmission. There are a lot of bits that need changing - firewall depth, steering column slot, etc.
