Can you post or email a photo of the tag? I have never heard of an engine tag mounted on the firewall - or any engine "tag" for that matter on an early Civilian Power-Wagon. What is the serial number of your truck?

The nearest I have been able to narrow it down was that they had finalized the design and started building them in late November 1945.
