When both levers are fully forward, toward ethe engine the transfer case is in 2 wheel drive. Pull the left lever all the way toward the seat to engage drive to the front axle. This can be done while the vehicle is moving, if the locking hubs are engaged. Pull the right lever all the way back toward the seat to shift the transfer case into low range. The truck must be stopped to do this. The left lever can be situated mid-way to completely disengage the transfer case. This is the condition in which a pto can be engaged to drive a winch, etc.
